About MetaContemporary
If you are looking for contemporary art from established and emerging talent MetaContemporary is at your service. Operated by Kathryn Roberts, who also founded the annual Cork Street Open Exhibition and advises artists on developing the business side of their art practice, MetaContemporary connects artists and collectors across the UK.
In addition to representing a wide range of artists who work in a variety mediums, we are also happy to source artwork from hundreds of professional dealers, galleries and artists with whom we are in regular contact.
We take an active interest in understanding what it is you’re looking for and what appeals to you when you express an interest in a particular artist or piece of art. We don’t believe that art is something to be “sold” in the traditional way that a salesman might point out the features of a product.
If you see something from the small sampling of work shown on the website or at an exhibition that you want to purchase, we will be glad to arrange for the sale and delivery of it. However, we are just as eager to help if you find you’re attracted to the style or subject of an artist we work with and you just want to learn more about the work or the artist.
In other words, we will do whatever we can to help you find the perfect pieces for you – as and when you are ready for them, whether that be today, next month or next year, whether it involves sourcing something you love within your budget, or commissioning a piece to meet specific requirements.
